I think some people are hardwired for monogamy, and there is nothing wrong with that. Monogamous relationships are the most common relationships and most people in them are ok with that. The issue is that with how we’re all raised now, consensual non-monogamy is at the least frowned upon, and at the worst, publicly ridiculed, mocked, or degraded. Even if it is CONSENSUAL non-monogamy, both partners (the female more so than the male though) will hear about how AWFUL it is that their lover would “put them through that” and how it’s “unacceptable” and it’s just “glorified cheating”. I think the monogamy-oriented people would be just fine, but I’d love to see a revolution in how people digest the news and reality of consensual non-monogamous relationships where both parties are happy with the relationship.
